The Colors Within arrives on Blu-ray and SteelBook editions from Shout Factory on May 27, 2025. Directed by Naoko Yamada (known for A Silent Voice, Liz and the Blue Bird), this film offers a nuanced coming-of-age story centered on the character Totsuko, who perceives colorful auras around people but cannot see her own.

Totsuko becomes drawn to her classmate Kimi, who glows with an especially striking color. To get closer to Kimi, she forms a band together with Kimi and Rui, a reserved musician skilled in playing the theremin. The band's development uncovers the inner desires that drive the emotions behind their music.
