Road Trip 25th Anniversary 4K Blu-ray Releases June 24
Kino Lorber presents Todd Phillips' comedy classic with new 4K masters and extensive special features
Road Trip (2000), directed by Todd Phillips, arrives on 4K Blu-ray from Kino Lorber on June 24, marking its 25th anniversary. The release includes a new 4K master of the theatrical cut sourced from the original camera negatives, presented in Dolby Vision HDR with both 5.1 surround and lossless 2.0 audio. Optional English subtitles are also included.
The story follows college student Josh, played by Breckin Meyer, who must travel from Ithaca to Austin in three days after a compromising video is mistakenly sent to his girlfriend. The film also stars Seann William Scott, Amy Smart, Paulo Costanzo, and D.J. Qualls, delivering a raunchy comedy with high energy and a notable soundtrack featuring artists like Kid Rock and Run DMC.
This release comes as a two-disc set: the first disc is the 4K Blu-ray featuring the theatrical cut with a brand-new audio commentary by Joe Ramoni of Hats Off Entertainment. The second disc is a Blu-ray containing the unrated cut in high definition, the same new audio commentary for the theatrical version, and several special features, including behind-the-scenes footage, deleted scenes, music videos, and trailers.
