Imprint Films releases Portrait in Crystal, a 1983 kung-fu crime fantasy directed by Hua Shan
Portrait in Crystal (1983) from director Hua Shan, known for his work on The Criminals trilogy, Super Inframan, and Flying Guillotine 2, arrives on Blu-ray from Australian label Imprint Films on May 28, 2025.
This film blends the crime thriller and kung-fu genres, telling the story of a noble martial artist confronting a living statue assassin terrorizing the underworld. The cast features Pai Piao, a frequent collaborator of Shaw Brothers’ top filmmakers, in a pivotal role.
Presented in 1080p high-definition with an aspect ratio of 2.35:1, the release includes LPCM 2.0 Mono audio and optional English subtitles. The Blu-ray comes housed in a limited edition slipcase with unique artwork, limited to 1500 copies.
