Flaming Brothers (1987), a Hong Kong crime thriller shaped by the heroic bloodshed wave, releases on Blu-ray via Eureka Entertainment on September 15. The film stars Chow Yun-fat and Alan Tang as triad brothers defending their criminal enterprise amid escalating conflict with a ruthless gang.

The narrative explores brotherhood and loyalty as Cheung Ho-tin (Chow Yun-fat) and Chan Wai-lun (Alan Tang) navigate their lives from street orphans to nightclub owners confronting gang threats. The screenplay was penned by Wong Kar-wai, notable for his later acclaimed works.

This edition presents Flaming Brothers in 1080p HD from a new 2K restoration, preserving the film’s visual integrity. Audio options include the original Cantonese track, an English dub, and newly translated English subtitles.

Bonus features enrich this release with a new audio commentary by action cinema specialists Mike Leeder and Arne Venema, an archival interview with director Joe Cheung, and the film’s original theatrical trailer. The package is limited to 2,000 copies and includes a collector’s O-card slipcase with new artwork by Time Tomorrow and a booklet featuring insightful writing on the film by Hong Kong cinema expert Camille Zaurin.
