Flaming Brothers (1987), a Hong Kong crime thriller shaped by the heroic bloodshed wave, releases on Blu-ray via Eureka Entertainment on September 15. The film stars Chow Yun-fat and Alan Tang as triad brothers defending their criminal enterprise amid escalating conflict with a ruthless gang.
The narrative explores brotherhood and loyalty as Cheung Ho-tin (Chow Yun-fat) and Chan Wai-lun (Alan Tang) navigate their lives from street orphans to nightclub owners confronting gang threats. The screenplay was penned by Wong Kar-wai, notable for his later acclaimed works.
This edition presents Flaming Brothers in 1080p HD from a new 2K restoration, preserving the film’s visual integrity. Audio options include the original Cantonese track, an English dub, and newly translated English subtitles.
