Directed by Lo Wei, known for his work with Bruce Lee, this martial arts film spotlights Jimmy Wang Yu in a lead role after his transition to Golden Harvest during the early 1970s.

The narrative follows the titular Tattooed Dragon, a virtuous martial artist who defends a rural village against a gangster-led campaign aiming to exploit villagers through gambling.
