Crash and Burn Blu-ray Coming June 1st from Full Moon
Full Moon Features announces the Blu-ray release of Crash and Burn
Crash and Burn, the 1990 sci-fi thriller directed by Charles Band and featuring a star-studded cast including Paul Ganus, Megan Ward, Ralph Waite, Bill Moseley, and Eva LaRue, is set to make its high-definition debut on Blu-ray. Fans can expect the release to hit shelves in early June, courtesy of Full Moon Features.
Set in a dystopian 2030, Crash and Burn presents a world tormented by natural and man-made disasters. Ultraviolet rays have damaged the ozone layer, leading to a scorching eternal summer. The chaos that follows a digital economic collapse allows Unicom, a colossal multinational corporation, to seize control. Amidst this technophobic landscape, Lathan Hooks and his granddaughter Arren, portrayed by Megan Ward, resist Unicom's tyranny against a backdrop of primitive technology.
Tragedy strikes when Lathan dies under mysterious circumstances, leaving Arren convinced that a Synthoid—a lethal human-like robot—is responsible. To combat this relentless adversary, Arren reactivates a dormant robot for an intense showdown. Even after defeating one Synthoid, the threat of others looms large.
Added excitement comes from the appearance of horror icon Bill Moseley, known for roles in The Devil's Rejects and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2. This early Full Moon Features classic is remastered for the first time in HD, directly from the original camera negative.
