Plot of Fear (1976), originally E tanta paura arrives on 4K Blu-ray from Indicator Powerhouse Films, October 20, 2025 - for its world premiere on UHD. This Limited Edition release features a new 4K restoration from the original camera negative, plus Dolby Vision HDR. The twisted giallo directed by Paolo Cavara, stars Michele Placido, Corinne Cléry, Tom Skerritt, and Eli Wallach and was written by long-time Federico Fellini collaborator Bernadino Zapponi
The film follows Inspector Lomenzo (Placido) investigating a series of gruesome murders. Each crime scene is marked by an illustration from the German children's book Shock-Headed Peter. The story unfolds through flashbacks, revealing a decadent weekend party attended by wealthy individuals who are killed one by one, along the way Lomenzo’s meets a mysterious fashion model played by Cléry, who guides him in his investigation.

With the edition there are a substantial amount of newly edited archival materials featuring a 2013 interview with Corinne Cléry alongside, interviews with screenwriter Enrico Oldoni, actor Michele Placido, and director Paolo Cavara’s son, Pietro Cavara. Other extras include a video essay analyzing the cast, original trailers, and improved translation subtitles. To top of the limited edition, you will get an exclusive 80-page book with an essay by Adrian J Smith, archival writings on the director, an interview with screenwriter Bernadino Zapponi, a profile of animator Gibba, and full film credits.
