PlotChev Chelios miraculously survives a deadly fall from a helicopter, only to be kidnapped by Chinese mobsters who replace his heart with an artificial one that requires regular jolts of electricity to function. Awakening in an underground surgery, he escapes and sets off on a mission to retrieve his stolen heart, relying on various methods to continuously charge his mechanical heart, from jumper cables to static electricity. As Chev races through Los Angeles, he leaves a trail of chaos in his wake, determined to find out who was behind his abduction and heart theft.
On his quest, Chev is aided by his girlfriend and a new ally while dealing with a slew of eccentric criminals, including a rival gangster who has a vendetta against him. Amidst high-speed chases, violent confrontations, and relentless pursuits, Chev's defiance and tenacity push him beyond human limits. His journey of survival and revenge takes him deeper into the city's underworld, where he uncovers a web of deceit and betrayal. The stakes rise as he edges closer to retrieving what was taken from him, while his improvised survival tactics become increasingly desperate and inventive.
