Pocket Money (originally L'argent de poche), a 1976 film by François Truffaut, is coming to Blu-ray as a limited edition, October 13 in the UK. A high-definition digital restoration brings new life to this coming-of-age story - set in the summer of 1976 that focuses on the lives of children who are figuring out their adolescence in the town of Thiers.
The film captures the experiences of a group of children, led by Patrick’s infatuation with his teacher, Mme. Petit, and Julien who is struggling to fit in. Truffaut blends humour, tenderness, wonder and a touch of melancholy to capture the messy but magical reality of growing up.
