Just the Two of Us (original title L'amour et les forêts), directed by Valérie Donzelli, is set to be released on Blu-ray from Music Box Films, September 30, 2025. The film stars Virginie Efira as Blanche and Melvil Poupaud as Gregoire, with Dominique Reymond, Romane Bohringer, and Virginie Ledoyen alongside.
The story follows Blanche, who meets Gregoire at a party and quickly begins a passionate relationship. They marry and move away from her family, where Blanche builds a new life with two children and a job as an elementary school teacher. But her relationship takes a darker turn when Gregoire becomes increasingly toxic and possessive. The screenplay was adapted by Donzelli and Audrey Diwan from Éric Reinhardt’s award-winning novel L'Amour et les Forêts
