PlotIn a distant future, humanity has migrated to a utopian planet where only women can survive due to a unique biological adaptation. This new world, with its vibrant alien landscapes and ethereal atmosphere, imposes its own set of rules and societal norms. A young woman named Roxy is thrust into a chaotic adventure after discovering and inadvertently freeing a notorious criminal, Kate Bush, who was buried alive as punishment. Her actions set off a chain of events that forces Roxy and her mother, Zora, to embark on a dangerous quest across the perilous terrains of their world to hunt down the fugitive before she wreaks irreversible havoc on their community.
Their journey becomes an exploration of the rich and mysterious world inhabited by strange beings and shrouded in wonder, prompting Roxy to confront deeper existential questions about identity, desire, and the fine line between myth and reality. As they delve deeper into territories both unfamiliar and enchanted, Roxy and Zora must navigate political intrigues and personal revelations that test the bonds of family and solidarity against a backdrop of unpredictable natural forces. Their odyssey challenges the fragile equilibrium of their society, and what is at stake becomes a critique of humanity’s age-old struggles with freedom, control, and the meaning of existence in an ever-evolving universe.

After Blue captivates with its exotic visuals and 35mm in-camera effects, though its slack narrative limits it to existing fans; Blu-ray offers excellent A/V.
