Her team is tasked with disrupting the operations of a major cartel responsible for a horrific discovery she encountered while leading a kidnap response team in Arizona. Kate joins the force with the hope of bringing the perpetrators to justice. She is partnered with an enigmatic consultant with a murky past, Alejandro, and a defense department contractor, Matt Graver, who has a cavalier attitude toward the mission's legal and ethical implications.
