A down-on-her-luck woman, Aileen, with a troubled past, makes her living as a prostitute on the highways of Florida. As Aileen’s affection for Selby grows, she dreams of a better future together, clinging to the hope that love can overcome her brutal reality.

However, Aileen's world turns upside down when a violent self-defense against an abusive client leads to a series of ill-fated decisions. Wrestling with a complex mix of self-loathing and desperation, she finds herself drawn into a dark path of murder and robbery. With each step further into criminality, Aileen’s hope for a new life diminishes, as she becomes entangled in a dangerous cycle she cannot break free from.
