PlotFour close college friends embark on a road trip through the rural South, looking for adventure and planning to attend a big football game. As they travel along deserted highways, their car breaks down, forcing them to seek help in a small, eerie town. While searching for assistance, they inadvertently witness a local sheriff commit a brutal murder. Terrified and unsure of what to do, they realize too late that the corrupt lawman has noticed their presence and is determined to eliminate any witnesses. Stranded and in danger, the friends attempt to flee but quickly find themselves targeted by the killer sheriff and his cronies. With no help forthcoming from the local townspeople—who are more connected to the sheriff's illegal dealings than they first appear—their hopeful road trip spirals into a desperate struggle for survival.
As night falls, the group finds themselves trapped in the thick woods surrounding the town, hunted by those meant to protect. Tensions run high as alliances within the group are tested while they try to outsmart and outrun their pursuers. With no evident way out and danger lurking behind every tree, the friends must rely on their instincts and each other to navigate the sinister traps set by the corrupt officials. As they delve deeper into this nightmare, secrets are unearthed about the town's dark past. Faced with moral dilemmas and their bond on the line, they must determine who can be trusted among them as alliances shift in this lethal game of cat and mouse.
