PlotGabrielle "Coco" Chanel starts her life in an orphanage after being abandoned by her father, where she learns to sew. Her early adulthood is marked by humble work as a seamstress by day and a cabaret singer by night. She meets Étienne Balsan, a wealthy man who takes her in as his mistress. Living in Balsan's lavish estate, she is exposed to the high society, inspiring her to design hats that gain popularity among Balsan's socialite friends. Despite their different standings, an emotional and turbulent bond develops between them.
As Coco strives to assert her independence and express her individuality, she encounters Arthur "Boy" Capel, an English businessman. Intrigued by her unique vision and creativity, Capel supports her ambitions, both financially and emotionally. This period marks the beginning of her career in fashion, characterized by her revolutionary designs that challenge the conventions of her time. Coco's relationship with Capel becomes significant, pushing her to confront her own limitations and societal expectations, setting the stage for her to become a trailblazer in the fashion world.
