PlotIn an unsettling and hallucinatory journey, Bill Lee, a former junkie turned exterminator, discovers his wife Joan has been using his insecticide as a recreational drug. This revelation plunges Bill into a bizarre world where reality and fantasy blur. After accidentally killing Joan during a drug-infused act, Bill flees to a mysterious, dream-like place known as Interzone. In this unsettling landscape, he interacts with a cast of peculiar characters, including bizarre Mugwumps and other strange beings. Tasked with writing reports for a clandestine organization, Bill finds his typewriter transforming into a bug-like creature, serving as both a writing instrument and a spy.
As Bill delves deeper into the surreal environment of Interzone, he grapples with various hallucinations and conspiracies, increasingly losing his grasp on his own identity and sanity. His interactions with enigmatic figures continually blur the boundaries between reality and his drug-induced visions. Burdened with a nebulous mission and haunted by his past actions, Bill's journey becomes a dark exploration of addiction, authorship, and alternate realities, pushing him to the edges of his perception and beyond.
