Hocus Pocus on Blu-ray offers a fun, nostalgic experience with modest video/audio upgrades and new extras best suited for the film's dedicated fans.

Hocus Pocus's 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 transfer on Blu-ray, identical to the 2012 release, delivers good sharpness and vibrant colors, albeit with fair black levels impacting night scenes; though not demo material, it effectively captures the film’s theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1.

For a full audio review, please click here. Like the video, this appears to be the same DTS-HD MA 5.1 track found on the last release. And again, while unlikely to give your speaker setup a workout, the mix suits the material well enough. You can read my in-depth thoughts on the audio from my previous review HERE. Again, apparently the same audio mix as before: “The DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound mix doesn’t offer a terrific amount of front and rear activity, but there are occasional sound effects placed in discrete channels and a bit of directionalized dialogue, too, though most of the dialogue has been placed in the center channel. John Debney’s rather incessant music gets the most play in the entire soundfield with effective routing through the fronts and rears.” Summary: "The DTS-HD MA 5.1 audio track remains unchanged from previous releases, offering limited front and rear activity with most dialogue centered, but John Debney's score effectively routed through all channels."
Extra: 40
The new Blu-ray release of Hocus Pocus offers a modest upgrade with the addition of a PiP trivia feature and a vintage production featurette, but misses the opportunity for a comprehensive 25th Anniversary retrospective with new interviews.

Disney's 'Hocus Pocus: 25th Anniversary Edition' Blu-ray offers nostalgia with carryover video and audio presentations from the 2012 release, newly added supplements, and a digital copy code. Despite mixed reviews on its humor and plot, the film maintains its charm through standout performances, particularly by Bette Midler.
