While the film is impressive, the story falls short in respect to the novel. Huge chunks of the story is left out, and the antagonists, namely the Harkonnens fall short. They are not as interesting as their 1984 or 2000 counterparts. Several characters are shoehorned. While the 4K UHD is great, this is not the definitive DUNE release.
