Trouble Every Day 4K Blu-ray Releases August 18 from Eureka Entertainment
Eureka Entertainment presents Claire Denis' genre film in a new 4K restoration with numerous special features
Trouble Every Day (2001), directed by Claire Denis, arrives on 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray on August 18 via Eureka Entertainment. This release marks the first UK Blu-ray presentation of the film from a new 4K restoration.
The film stars Vincent Gallo, Tricia Vessey, and Béatrice Dalle, and represents Denis' first foray into genre cinema. It explores dark human desires and played a key role in the New French Extremity movement. The story follows Dr. Shane Brown (Vincent Gallo) and his wife June (Tricia Vessey) during their honeymoon in Paris, delving into unsettling experiments and a disturbing, cannibalistic lust affecting those around them.
This edition offers a Dolby Vision HDR presentation alongside original French audio in DTS-HD MA 5.1 and LPCM 2.0 formats, with newly revised English subtitles. Included is a new audio commentary by horror scholar Lindsay Hallam, plus exclusive video essays and interviews examining the film’s themes and significance.
Additional special features are housed in a limited edition hardbound slipcase featuring new artwork by Ash Weaver-Williams, accompanied by a 60-page collector's book with essays from Anna Bogutskaya, Amy C. Chambers, and Laura Mee, among others, as well as facsimile lobby cards.
