Altered Innocence releases Graham Foy's The Maiden on Blu-ray featuring 16mm film presentation and extensive bonus features
The Maiden (2022), directed by Canadian filmmaker Graham Foy and starring Hayley Ness, Jackson Sluiter, and Marcel T. Jiménez, arrives on Blu-ray from Altered Innocence on August 12.
The film unfolds on a summer day in the suburb, following best friends Colton and Kyle as they explore a local ravine, while Whitney, a mutual friend, seeks refuge through writing and drawing. After Whitney's disappearance, her diary reveals a connection to a mirror world, blending natural beauty with paranormal elements.
Shot on textured 16mm film, The Maiden blends poetic storytelling with a haunting atmosphere noted by The New York Times as a generational cri de coeur. The disc includes an audio commentary with cast and crew, deleted scenes, and a behind-the-scenes featurette.
Additional extras include reversible artwork, original and other trailers, and a booklet containing cast photographs by Mark Peckmezian alongside an essay by Saffron Maeve. The audio is presented in English 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio with subtitles in English SDH, Spanish, French, German, and Italian.
