The Legend of Ochi Blu-ray Release Scheduled for July 8
A24's The Legend of Ochi arrives on Blu-ray with Dolby Atmos and exclusive extras
The Legend of Ochi (2024), directed by Isaiah Saxon and featuring Finn Wolfhard, Willem Dafoe, Emily Watson, and Helena Zengel, is set for Blu-ray release by A24 on July 8.
The story unfolds in a remote northern village where a young girl named Yuri is raised to avoid the dark and fear the elusive forest creatures called the ochi. When a baby ochi is separated from its pack, Yuri embarks on a quest to reunite it with its family.
This Blu-ray edition presents the film in a 1.66:1 aspect ratio and includes a DOLBY ATMOS audio track, enhancing the spatial sound experience. Special features feature a commentary by Isaiah Saxon, a behind-the-scenes featurette titled The Ochi Quest, and a deleted scene labeled Emily Watson's Singing Bird.
Additionally, the release offers six collectible postcards showcasing behind-the-scenes photography by Alexandru Ionita. Viewers can also select optional English SDH and Spanish subtitles.
