The Keep Limited Edition 4K Blu-ray Arrives September 11
Imprint Films releases Michael Mann's cult horror with new special features and extensive physical extras
The Keep (1983), directed by Michael Mann and starring Scott Glenn, Ian McKellen, Alberta Watson, Gabriel Byrne, and Jürgen Prochnow, arrives on 4K Blu-ray from Imprint Films on September 11. This Limited Edition includes the 96-minute Theatrical Cut presented in Dolby Vision.
The set offers an extensive range of physical extras including a replica zinc alloy Cross inspired by the film’s iconic wall crosses, sized 24 x 33 cm and weighing 3 kg in total. It comes housed in a premium hardbox with spot gloss crosses and foil stamping, along with a custom transparent PVC display case with anti-scratch lamination.
Additional physical contents include a full-colour matte laminated folded poster (27 x 40 cm), a reprint of the official five-issue comic series by F. Paul Wilson and Matthew Smith, original 1983 press kit and lobby cards reproductions, a hardcover 80-page booklet with photographs, production material, new essays, and a Fangoria article reprint, plus a reprint of the first draft script. The set is housed in a 3D lenticular hardcase with four discs.
This release marks the worldwide debut of the feature documentary A World War II Fairy Tale: The Making Of Michael Mann's The Keep, featuring over one hundred interviews and rare materials tracing the film’s complex production history.
Also included is a CD of the film’s electronic soundtrack by Tangerine Dream, noted for its haunting synth compositions.
Imprint Films presents this edition as a substantial package for collectors and fans of this cult horror classic.
