The Box Man Blu-ray Scheduled for June 30 from Third Window Films

The Box Man (2024), directed by Gakuryu Ishii and starring Masatoshi Nagase, Tadanobu Asano, Kōichi Satō, Ayana Shiramoto, and Yōko Nakamura, arrives on Blu-ray from British distributor Third Window Films on June 30.

The film follows a man who wears a cardboard box over his head as he wanders the streets of Tokyo, observing the world through a peephole and recording his observations. Another character, the photographer known as Myself, becomes fascinated and sets out to become a box man himself. The path to his goal is fraught with challenges, including confrontations with a fake doctor aiming to steal his identity, a military figure planning a crime using the box man, and a mysterious woman with seductive intentions.

This Blu-ray edition includes an audio commentary by Tom Mes, a talk event with cast and crew, cast comments from inside the box, a director Q&A held at the Japan Society, and trailers. The release is presented in Region B format and features a special slipcase edition limited to 2000 copies.
