Silverado marks its 40th anniversary with a 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray release from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, scheduled for October 7, 2025. Directed and produced by Lawrence Kasdan and written by Lawrence and Mark Kasdan, the film stars Academy Award® winners Kevin Kline and Kevin Costner, alongside Scott Glenn, Danny Glover, and a notable supporting cast.
The story follows four unlikely heroes who cross paths while traveling to the town of Silverado, where they discover corruption under a deadly sheriff’s command. The sharpshooting group must cooperate to liberate their friends and the town from tyranny.

The 4K Ultra HD disc features a restoration sourced from the original camera negative presented in 2160p resolution with Dolby Vision, paired with English Dolby Atmos, 5.1 surround sound, and 2-Channel DTS-HD MA audio tracks. The included special feature is the theatrical trailer.
The Blu-ray disc presents the feature in full HD with English 5.1 audio. It includes three special features: Along the Silverado Trail: A Western Historians’ Commentary, A Return to Silverado with Kevin Costner Featurette, and The Making of Silverado Featurette.
The film runs approximately 132 minutes and carries a PG-13 rating. The package will also be available as a limited edition steelbook.
