Serenity 20th Anniversary 4K Blu-ray SteelBook Arrives July 22

Serenity marks its 20th anniversary with a new 4K Blu-ray SteelBook edition from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, scheduled for release on July 22, 2025.

The film follows a passenger carrying a deadly secret and the renegade crew of Serenity, a group of six rebels on the run. They hide the fugitive aboard their ship, drawing pursuit from a relentless totalitarian military regime and facing threats from savage creatures in uncharted space.

Directed by Joss Whedon (The Avengers, Firefly), the story delivers an action-packed narrative combining intense battles, special effects, and expansive new worlds.

This release presents the film on 4K Blu-ray, commemorating two decades since its original release with a new SteelBook packaging.
