John Frankenheimer's 1979 eco-thriller, Prophecy, starring Talia Shire, Robert Foxworth, Armand Assante, Richard Dysart, and Victoria Racimo, is set to return with stunning clarity. Kino Lorber has prepared a comprehensive 4K Blu-ray package that will hit the market on May 20, 2025.
The narrative immerses viewers in a clash between a logging enterprise and a nearby Native American tribe. Amid escalating tensions, Dr. Robert Verne (played by Robert Foxworth) and his wife, Maggie (Talia Shire), arrive to mediate. The tribal chief, John Hawks (Armand Assante), accuses the logging company of environmental poisoning. As disturbing wildlife mutations reveal the truth, the Vernes are embroiled in a survivalistic battle with mutated creatures.
