Perpetrator Blu-ray Releases August 18 from Arrow Video
Arrow Video reveals the August release of Jennifer Reeder's Perpetrator on Blu-ray with extensive special features
Perpetrator is set to release on Blu-ray in August from Arrow Video, offering a high-definition presentation of director Jennifer Reeder's genre-blending film. This edition provides the film's original DTS-HD MA 5.1 surround audio along with optional English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing.
The film follows Jonny, portrayed by Kiah McKirnan, as she encounters a transformative family spell that leads her on a dangerous quest. Supported by Alicia Silverstone, Melanie Liburd, and Christopher Lowell, Perpetrator mixes feminist coming-of-age drama with supernatural thriller elements, filmed in distinctive Bava-inspired colors by director of photography Sevdije Kastrati.
The Blu-ray includes an array of special content, such as a brand new audio commentary by Jennifer Reeder and Sevdije Kastrati, plus a video essay titled Perpetrator: Mirrors and the Monstrous Womb by filmmaker Jen Handorf. On-set interviews with the principal cast deepen insights into the production.
Additional features highlight Reeder’s wider body of work with music videos for Aitis and Joan of Arc, alongside three short films directed by her: All Small Bodies (2018), I Dream You Dream of Me (2018), and LOLA, 15 (2017). The package also contains the original theatrical trailer.
The release boasts reversible sleeve artwork featuring designs from Creepy Duck Design and Duke Aber/Shudder. It includes an illustrated collector’s booklet with new writing by film critics Kat Hughes and Marianne Lampon.
This Perpetrator Blu-ray under Arrow Video is scheduled for release in the UK on August 18 and North America on August 19.
