Narc Blu-ray Release Scheduled for July 7 from Arrow Video
Arrow Video presents the gritty crime thriller Narc on Blu-ray with new and archival extras, original and Atmos audio.
Narc, director Joe Carnahan's breakthrough crime thriller, arrives on Blu-ray this July 7 from Arrow Video. Known for its intense and unrelenting tone, Narc revitalizes the modern cop drama genre with a raw portrayal of a complex investigation in wintry Detroit.
The film follows narcotics cop Nick Tellis (Jason Patric), returning from a troubled undercover operation, who partners with Detective Henry Oak (Ray Liotta) to investigate the murder of Oak's former partner. As the case evolves, their relationship grows increasingly tense and ambiguous.
This Blu-ray edition features a 4K restoration from the original camera negative presented in high-definition, with both the newly restored original stereo track and a Dolby Atmos surround audio track. Optional English subtitles accommodate the deaf and hard-of-hearing.
Bonus material includes archival feature commentary with Joe Carnahan and editor John Gilroy, plus a new introduction by Carnahan himself. Additional extras span four new interviews covering directing, cinematography, acting, and costume design; vintage promotional featurettes exploring the film's making and its connections to William Friedkin; and extensive vintage interviews with cast and crew.
The packaging is highlighted by a reversible sleeve and a double-sided poster featuring original and newly commissioned artwork by Nathanael Marsh. An illustrated collector's booklet complements the set with fresh essays and archival content, including contributions from producer Diane Nabatoff and critic Michelle Kisner.
This release arrives from Arrow Video, known for its comprehensive restorations and supplements that appeal to genre enthusiasts and collectors alike.
