Le notti bianche (1957), directed by Luchino Visconti and starring Marcello Mastroianni and Maria Schell - releases from Radiance Films as a Limited Edition, this December 8. The film was adapted from Fyodor Dostoyevsky 1848 short story "White Nights" and was the winner of a Silver Lion at The 1957 Venice film festival.
This release has a new 4K restoration by Cinecittà and carries an uncompressed mono PCM track with newly improved English subtitle translation. Special features include a 2025 interview with producer/programmer Adrian Wootton, archival interviews with Marcello Mastroianni and Visconti collaborators. Plus, the archival documentary Letters From Rome: Luchino Visconti (1963), an audiobook reading of Dostoyevsky's original short story (2010), and the theatrical trailer.
