Flicker Alley and Blackhawk Films release a 2-disc Blu-ray of nine restored 1929 Laurel & Hardy shorts with archival extras and new scores

Laurel & Hardy: Year Three collects nine restored 1929 shorts from directors Leo McCarey and James W. Horne, featuring stars Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy. Released by Flicker Alley in partnership with Blackhawk Films®, this 2-disc Blu-ray edition arrives November 11, 2025 and completes the series following Year One and Year Two.
The set presents newly restored picture and audio from Blackhawk Films®, includes both silent and sound versions of select titles, and runs approximately 181 minutes. Each film features newly recorded scores by Neil Brand, Andreas Benz, Robert Israel, and Maud Nelissen (three scores in 5.1). Blu-ray authoring by David Mackenzie of Fidelity In Motion; the package is region-free (A/B/C) and carries English SDH subtitles.
