K-PAX (2001), directed by Iain Softley and starring Kevin Spacey and Jeff Bridges, arrives on Blu-ray on October 29 from Australian label Imprint Films. The film is based on Gene Brewer's 1995 novel and blends science fiction with psychological mystery.
The story centers on Prot, a psychiatric patient who claims to be from the planet K-PAX. While his psychiatrist remains skeptical, Prot’s presence and outlook begin to influence and inspire other patients, challenging perceptions of reality and belief.

The film’s cast also includes Mary McCormack, Alfre Woodard, and a young Aaron Paul in an early performance. K-PAX received generally positive reviews, including three out of four stars from Roger Ebert.
