Imprint Films’ TV Movie of the Week: Collection 3 Blu-ray Set Arrives June 25

Imprint Films announces the release of TV Movie of the Week: Collection 3 (1966-1976) on Blu-ray, scheduled for June 25. This three-disc box set gathers three notable television films from the period, offering significant extras and restored presentations.

The set includes Fame Is the Name of the Game (1966), a mystery directed by Stuart Rosenberg (Cool Hand Luke). Starring Tony Franciosa, Jack Klugman, Susan St. James, and Robert Duvall, the film follows journalist Jeff Dillon investigating a young woman’s murder. This film also served as a precursor to the TV series The Name of the Game. The Blu-ray features a new audio commentary by screenwriter and historian Gary Gerani, alongside optional English SDH subtitles.

Also featured is Brian's Song (1971), an acclaimed sports biopic starring James Caan and Billy Dee Williams. The film chronicles the true story of Chicago Bears teammates Gale Sayers and Brian Piccolo, focusing on their friendship amid Piccolo's battle with cancer. The disc includes an audio commentary by the lead actors, a featurette titled Gale Sayers: First and Goal, a promotional trailer, and optional English SDH subtitles.

Rounding out the collection is A Matter of Wife... and Death (1976), starring Rod Taylor as private detective Shamus McCoy. The film involves McCoy caught in a major gambling ring after a violent incident involving a former associate. This disc provides English SDH subtitles as an option.

This Blu-ray set from Imprint Films offers fans of classic television cinema restored versions with supplemental materials enhancing understanding and appreciation of these productions.
