Humanoids from the Deep, helmed by Barbara Peeters, is set to reappear more vividly than ever with its forthcoming Collector's Edition 4K Blu-ray, releasing on February 18. Brought to life through Scream Factory, this release promises an enhanced viewing experience with a meticulously crafted series of upgrades and new additions.
Set in the quaint fishing village of Noyo, the movie unfolds a tale of terrifying fish-like humanoid creatures, generated from mutant DNA, rising from the ocean. These humanoids, on a relentless quest to reproduce with the local women, incite fear throughout the town. Chaotic terror peaks as these creatures gatecrash the annual Salmon Festival. The film stars Doug McClure, Ann Turkel, Vic Morrow, Cindy Weintraub, and Denise Galik, with an early musical score by James Horner and special effects by Rob Bottin.
This release features new 4K restorations of both the theatrical and unrated cuts directly from the original camera negative, ensuring a crisp and authentic visual feel. Additionally, a Dolby Vision/HDR presentation will deliver remarkable image quality.
