His Girl Friday (1940), directed by Howard Hawks is coming onto 4K Blu-ray from Criterion, December 2, 2025. This edition presents Hawks' 1940's screwball comedy featuring Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell, plus as a bonus, Lewis Milestone's 1931 film Front Page, also with a new restoration.
The release features a new 4K restoration of His Girl Friday with an uncompressed monaural soundtrack and a Dolby Vision/HDR presentation. Criterion pairs the 4K presentation with two Blu-ray discs containing the film, The Front Page, and the special features.
