Forbidden World 4K Blu-ray by Scream Factory: March 18 Release
Explore Forbidden World's 1982 sci-fi thriller in stunning 4K from Scream Factory, arriving March 2025.

Scream Factory is set to enthrall fans with its Collector's Edition 4K Blu-ray release of Forbidden World, the classic 1982 sci-fi film directed by Allan Holzman. Slated for release on March 18, 2025, this edition presents a newly restored version from the original camera negative and features both a Theatrical Version and a Director's Cut.
On the treacherous grounds of planet Xarbia, an elite scientific team invents the life form 'Subject 20' to avert a galactic food crisis. However, instead of safeguarding life, this creation becomes a monstrous force of destruction. The deceptive nature of 'Subject 20', which constantly alters its genetic make-up, propels bounty hunter Mike Colby into a web of mystery and danger as he navigates truths withheld by the scientists.
For the technically inclined, DISC ONE encompasses a NEW 4K RESTORATION with DOLBY VISION/HDR PRESENTATION, and includes an audio commentary by Director/Editor Allan Holzman. Excitingly, English DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 Dual Mono and optional English subtitles accompany both versions.
DISC TWO, presented in Blu-ray format, also showcases the new restoration and refines the viewing experience with enriching features. Dive deep into the behind-the-scenes with "The Making Of Forbidden World", which brings together interviews with key contributors including Robert Skotak, Jesse Vint, and Susan Justin. Engage further with conversations featuring producer Roger Corman and special effects artist John Carl Buechler. A theatrical trailer, TV & radio spots, and a photo gallery enhance the nostalgic journey.
