Eyes Wide Shut (1999), directed, produced, and co-written by Stanley Kubrick, is coming to 4K UHD and Blu-ray from The Criterion Collection, November 18. Set over a cold, dreamlike New York winter, the film follows Dr. Bill Harford (Tom Cruise), a Manhattan doctor who, after his wife (Nicole Kidman) confesses to an unsettling sexual fantasy, embarks on a strange and increasingly dangerous journey through secret gatherings, erotic rituals, and psychological unraveling.
The Criterion Collection release presents the international version in a new 4K digital restoration supervised and approved by director of photography Larry Smith. The set includes one 4K UHD disc presented in Dolby Vision HDR and two Blu-rays, and features a 5.1 surround DTS‑HD Master Audio soundtrack.

This release will for the first time ever feature the original Eyes Wide Shut poster designed by Christiane and Katharina Kubrick Hobbs, Stanley Kubrick's wife and daughter. Their original poster proposal was eventually rejected by Warner Bros. in favor of the more traditional poster we are now accustomed to.
The special features compile new and archival material including interviews with Larry Smith, photographer and second‑unit director Lisa Leone, and Stanley Kubrick archivist Georgina Orgill; an archival interview with Christiane Kubrick; the 2019 program Never Just a Dream; the documentaries Lost Kubrick: The Unfinished Films of Stanley Kubrick (2007) and Kubrick Remembered (2014); Kubrick’s 1998 DGA acceptance speech; a 1999 press conference with Jan Harlan, Tom Cruise, and Nicole Kidman; teasers and trailers; and an essay by Megan Abbott.
