The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim is making its eagerly anticipated debut on 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray on February 18, courtesy of Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. This latest installment in the Tolkien universe, an original anime feature from New Line Cinema, is directed by award-winning filmmaker Kenji Kamiyama. Set 183 years before J.R.R. Tolkien's iconic trilogy, this film transports audiences back to Middle-earth, following the legendary tale of Helm Hammerhand, King of Rohan. Facing a deadly enemy in Wulf, a cunning Dunlending lord driven by vengeance, Helm and his people retreat to the stronghold of the Hornburg—later renowned as Helm's Deep. As pressure mounts, his daughter H�ra must lead the charge in this precarious battle for survival.

The narrative richens with contributions from Oscar-winner Philippa Boyens, the screenwriter team behind both LOTR and The Hobbit series. The executive production lineup features notable names like Fran Walsh, Peter Jackson, Sam Register, alongside many returning collaborators from the original trilogy.
