Dr. Jekyll and the Werewolf 4K Blu-ray Arrives June 10
Mondo Macabro releases Len Klimovsky’s 1972 horror featuring Paul Naschy in dual roles
Dr. Jekyll and the Werewolf (1972), directed by León Klimovsky, arrives on 4K Blu-ray from Mondo Macabro on June 10. This edition presents the fifth film starring Spanish actor Paul Naschy as Waldemar the Wolfman, following a less well-received previous entry, Fury of the Wolfman.
In this installment, Naschy’s character travels to 1970s London, searching for a cure to his werewolf affliction. His encounter with Dr. Jekyll triggers a transformation into the lascivious killer Mr. Hyde. The film blends Euro-horror elements with a plot centered on the sinister Hyde roaming Soho’s nightlife while two women vie for possession of his tormented wolfman soul.
The release includes both the Spanish cut and a rarely seen export version, offering collectors and fans access to different edits of the film. Mondo Macabro’s standard 4K Blu-ray edition ensures a technically enhanced presentation of this cult horror title.
