Crumb Catcher Blu-ray Release Scheduled for July 22 from Arrow
Arrow releases Chris Skotchdopole's darkly funny home invasion thriller Crumb Catcher on Blu-ray with new extras and a reversible sleeve.
Crumb Catcher, directed by Chris Skotchdopole, arrives on Blu-ray from Arrow on July 22 in the U.S. and Canada, with a UK street date of July 21. This film is a blend of dark humor and thriller elements, presenting an absurd and satirical take on the failure of the American Dream.
The story follows newlyweds Shane (Rigo Garay) and Leah (Ella Rae Peck), whose honeymoon at a remote house is interrupted by two strangers demanding more than money for their invention known as The Crumb Catcher. The film is noted for its unique tone and strong ensemble performances, marking Skotchdopole's impressive directorial debut.
This high-definition Blu-ray edition offers original 5.1 surround sound audio and optional English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing. Arrow includes a wealth of special features, notably a brand-new commentary by Chris Skotchdopole recorded explicitly for this release. Viewers also gain access to the 38-minute making-of documentary "Catching Crumbs," featuring behind-the-scenes insights from cast and crew.
Additionally, the set features two short films by Skotchdopole: "The Egg and the Hatchet" (2016) and "Camp Out" (2010), expanding upon the director’s body of work. The original trailer is also included.
The physical presentation boasts a reversible sleeve with original artwork by Tessa Price and Sister Hyde, accompanied by an illustrated collector's booklet containing an introduction by producer Larry Fessenden and new essays by Richard Newby and Tori Potenza.
