A Minecraft Movie 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray Release Set for June 24
Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures bring Jared Hess' Minecraft adaptation to home media with extensive special features.
A Minecraft Movie (2024), directed by Jared Hess, arrives on 4K UHD and Blu-ray on June 24, 2025, from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and Legendary Pictures. The live-action adaptation of the best-selling video game stars Jason Momoa, Jack Black, Emma Myers, Danielle Brooks, and Sebastian Hansen.
The story follows four misfits — Garrett “The Garbage Man” Garrison (Momoa), Henry (Hansen), Natalie (Myers), and Dawn (Brooks) — who are pulled into Minecraft’s Overworld. To return home, they embark on a quest guided by expert crafter Steve (Black), learning to survive and thrive in a cubic world filled with creatures like Piglins and Zombies.
Backing the film is an experienced creative team including BAFTA-nominated cinematographer Enrique Chediak, Oscar-winning production designer Grant Major, editor James Thomas, Oscar-winning VFX supervisor Dan Lemmon, and costume designer Amanda Neale. The music is composed by Mark Mothersbaugh with music supervision by Gabe Hilfer and Karyn Rachtman.
