PlotSandra, a young Belgian mother recovering from depression, discovers that her coworkers have been given a choice: accept a significant bonus or allow her to keep her job. Given the majority opted for the bonus, Sandra faces imminent unemployment. With the support of her husband Manu, Sandra convinces her boss to hold a new vote, giving her the weekend to persuade her colleagues to forego their bonuses for her to retain her position.
As she spends the next two days visiting each worker and pleading her case, Sandra grapples with the emotional and psychological toll it takes on her. The interactions reveal varying degrees of empathy, hostility, and indifference from her colleagues, each of whom have their own financial and personal struggles. Sandra’s journey underscores the themes of solidarity and survival in a precarious economic landscape, challenging her resilience and sense of self-worth.
