PlotPeter Parker continues to fight crime as Spider-Man, grappling with balancing his superhero duties with his relationship with Gwen Stacy. Haunted by a promise made to her late father to keep her safe by staying away, Peter is torn between his feelings for Gwen and the responsibility that comes with his powers. Meanwhile, he also tries to unravel the mysteries of his past, particularly the disappearance of his parents and the truth behind his father's scientific work at Oscorp.
In the midst of Peter's personal struggles, a new villain emerges: Max Dillon, an electrical engineer who admires Spider-Man. After a workplace accident involving electric eels at Oscorp, Max transforms into Electro, possessing the power to control electricity. Electro's initial admiration turns into hatred due to a series of misunderstandings and his own insecurities, fueled by his new abilities. As Electro becomes a powerful threat to New York City, Peter must confront this electrifying enemy while additional dark forces from within Oscorp begin to rise.
