Inside Man

Director: Spike Lee
Actors: Denzel Washington, Clive Owen, Jodie Foster
PlotIn the heart of Manhattan, a meticulously executed bank heist unfolds as Dalton Russell and his crew take hostages, sealing themselves inside a bank with demands that set off a high-tension standoff. Wearing masks and overalls, the robbers control every aspect of the situation, demonstrating that they've planned for every contingency. The NYPD, unable to breach the bank without risking civilian lives, sets up a perimeter, aiming to negotiate for the hostages' release while trying to piece together the robbers' true motive.
Detective Keith Frazier, an NYPD negotiator struggling with a cloud of suspicion over his professional conduct, sees this high-profile case as a chance to prove himself. Tasked with resolving the situation peacefully, Frazier engages in a cat-and-mouse game with Russell, attempting to unravel his plans without escalating the standoff. Meanwhile, the involvement of a powerbroker with her own agenda, seeking to protect the bank owner's secrets, complicates the situation further. With the clock ticking, Frazier must navigate through layers of deception and power plays, trying to end the standoff before it spirals out of control.
