PlotA grieving woman named Edee relocates to a remote cabin in the Wyoming wilderness, seeking solitude and respite from a recent tragic loss. Battling the harsh elements and her own emotional turmoil, she struggles to adapt to the isolated and demanding environment. As winter approaches, Edee realizes that her lack of wilderness skills is putting her survival at risk. Her situation becomes increasingly dire, pushing her to the brink of despair. Starving and disheartened after several failed attempts to sustain herself, Edee's fragile existence seems destined for a tragic end.
Just as hope appears lost, a local hunter named Miguel stumbles upon Edee and saves her from her dire situation. Miguel, a man with his own haunting past, nurses Edee back to health and begins teaching her the skills necessary to survive in the wilderness. Though initially reluctant to accept help, Edee ultimately starts forming a bond with Miguel. Gradually, through their growing friendship and shared experiences, Edee finds healing and a renewed sense of purpose. This journey not only transforms her but also leads her to confront the pain she sought to escape.
