Hotel for Dogs
Director: Thor Freudenthal
Actors: Emma Roberts, Jake T. Austin, Lisa Kudrow
PlotTwo orphaned siblings, Andi and Bruce, have always been forbidden from having pets by their strict guardians. Despite this, they secretly foster dogs in their no-pets-allowed apartment, hiding them from their guardians and the local dog catchers. Their world changes when they stumble upon an abandoned hotel that they see as the perfect haven for their undisclosed dog. This discovery leads them to an ambitious idea to transform the derelict hotel into a sanctuary for all the stray dogs in the city. Alongside a group of new friends they meet along the way, they start fixing up the place, outfitting it with inventive gadgets to care for the dogs and keep them entertained.
As word of the sanctuary spreads, the number of dogs clandestinely living in the hotel grows, turning the once-empty building into a bustling paradise for the abandoned animals. However, the children soon find themselves overwhelmed by the responsibilities of taking care of so many pets while keeping their activities hidden from the prying eyes of the adults in their lives, including their guardians and the local animal control. Their efforts to maintain the secret hotel for dogs while navigating the challenges of their own lives test their ingenuity, teamwork, and commitment to providing a safe haven for the dogs.
