PlotIn the sequel to a treasure hunter adventure, historian and code-breaker Ben Gates discovers a missing page from the diary of John Wilkes Booth, the assassin of Abraham Lincoln. This page contains a clue pointing to the existence of a global treasure. However, the discovery comes with a damning piece of information suggesting that Ben's great-great-grandfather was a key conspirator in Lincoln's assassination. Determined to prove his ancestor's innocence and restore his family's name, Ben embarks on a quest that leads him from Paris to London and ultimately to the United States. This journey is fraught with puzzles, hidden clues, and historical secrets that he must decipher to find the truth.
Ben, accompanied by his estranged girlfriend Abigail Chase and his loyal friend Riley Poole, faces challenges that test their wit, skills, and dedication to the mission. Their hunt invigorates a cat-and-mouse game with Mitch Wilkinson, a ruthless treasure seeker who believes the Gates family legacy holds the key to unimaginable wealth. As they unravel the mystery, their adventure takes them through historic locations, where they uncover clues that bring them closer to the treasure, but also deeper into danger. With each step, they must evade federal authorities and venture into unauthorized and treacherous territories, pushing their limits in the name of family honor and history.
