PlotA struggling sports agent named JB Bernstein embarks on a last-ditch effort to save his career by finding baseball pitching talent in cricket-crazy India. He and his business partner, Aash, devise a reality TV contest called "Million Dollar Arm" to attract participants, hoping to discover the next great pitcher among cricket players. With the help of cantankerous but experienced scout Ray Poitevint, they discover two promising young athletes, Rinku Singh and Dinesh Patel. JB brings them to the U.S. to train under legendary pitching coach Tom House in hopes they can secure major league contracts.
As Rinku and Dinesh undergo intense training and face cultural challenges adapting to their new environment, JB struggles with his own personal growth and commitment. The process of mentoring the athletes teaches JB valuable lessons about perseverance, dedication, and the importance of family and support systems. Feeling pressure from investors and his own doubts, JB finds himself questioning his motives and methods as he tries to balance his professional aspirations with human compassion.
