Actors: Bela Lugosi, Helen Chandler, David Manners
PlotIn the Carpathian Mountains of Transylvania, Renfield, a solicitor from England, travels to Castle Dracula to finalize the Count's purchase of Carfax Abbey in England. Despite warnings from locals, he is driven to the castle by a mysterious coach driven by the Count himself in disguise. Renfield enters the ominous and decaying castle where he meets the enigmatic Count Dracula. That night, after a private encounter with Dracula, Renfield becomes his thrall. Together, they embark on a voyage to England, with Renfield now irreversibly changed and under the vampire's command.
Upon arrival in England, Dracula wastes no time in ingratiating himself with the social elite. He meets and becomes fascinated with Mina, a friend of Renfield's employer's daughter, Lucy. Lucy soon falls mysteriously ill, displaying the telltale puncture marks that signify Dracula's vampiric influence. As Lucy's condition worsens, Professor Van Helsing, a prominent expert in exotic diseases, is called upon for his medical opinion. Van Helsing quickly deduces the presence of vampirism, recognizing Dracula's dark work. The creepy aura of the Count and Renfield's strange behavior create a tense atmosphere as Van Helsing prepares to confront the ancient evil that has infiltrated their midst.
