Under the Cherry Moon
Director: Prince, Michael Ballhaus
Actors: Prince, Jerome Benton, Kristin Scott Thomas
PlotTwo gigolos from Miami, Christopher Tracy and his brother Tricky, live lavishly in the French Riviera, seducing wealthy women to maintain their lifestyle. As professional smooth talkers, they charm and romance older rich women, with Christopher playing piano at a luxury hotel to set the stage for their conquests. Their shenanigans are playful, focusing on the thrill of the chase and the spoils of their catches. Christopher, however, keeps a certain emotional distance to avoid complications, treating love as a game and women as marks in their grand scheme.
Their latest target is Mary Sharon, a young heiress who is set to inherit a fortune on her 21st birthday. Christopher and Tricky plan to have Christopher woo her and secure their financial futures. However, things take an unexpected turn when Christopher begins to develop genuine feelings for Mary. Despite being opposites in personality and social standing, their attraction grows. The budding romance challenges Christopher's views on love and wealth, forcing him to confront his own morals and intentions. Meanwhile, Mary's father disapproves of their connection, preferring that she marry a man of equal social stature. As the story progresses, the trio navigates their way through a series of deceptions, misunderstandings, and the juxtaposition of love versus materialism in the opulent setting of the picturesque French coastline.
