PlotKostis, a solitary and middle-aged doctor, arrives on a small Greek island to take over the local clinic during the off-season. As summer approaches, the island morphs into a bustling tourist destination, brimming with young vacationers. During this lively period, Kostis encounters a carefree and beautiful tourist named Anna and her group of friends. They bring him into their circle, inviting him to join their escapades on the beach and lively nighttime parties. Enthralled by Anna's youthful energy and beauty, Kostis finds a renewed zest for life, himself engaging in wild and hedonistic behaviors that starkly contrast with his previously quiet existence.
Initially benign and thrilling, his fascination with Anna soon spirals into obsession as he struggles to maintain the boundaries between professional duty and personal desire. Kostis becomes increasingly desperate to keep up with the group's youthful exuberance, despite clear signs that he is out of sync with their carefree rhythms. The island's initial allure as a paradise of sun and fun transforms into a more foreboding landscape as Kostis navigates his escalating infatuation, setting off a series of unsettling events that reveal the deeper fissures in his psyche and life.
